A brief note on Venezuela.
Below there are a number of links to articles about the situation that you may not have seen. They will not resemble what you have read/seen in the mainstream media - not in any way, shape, or form.
My view is this: This is a Washington backed coup, using a CIA groomed stooge - Juan Guaido. The ‘humanitarian’ aid being delivered by the US is a Trojan Horse. The guy bought in to oversee the operation is a man called Elliott Abrams - a convicted felon from the Iran Contra scandal (he organised murder gangs), later pardoned by the elder Bush.
In short, it strikes me as quite amazing that people who have ‘seen through’ the phoney neocon wars in Iraq, Libya and Syria continue to believe that the ‘latest one’ is somehow different. It isn’t. Whatever you may think about Maduro, ask yourself a simple question:
Do you support the United States of America flaunting international law, making a laughing stock of the Nuremberg ‘rules’, the Geneva Convention, and UNSC resolutions…whenever it chooses…by changing regimes it doesn’t like? I do not. I regard Washington as a ‘rogue regime’.
But…read up for yourself and make up your own mind.

Now, here is a tweeted reply I sent on today (Sunday), in response to a tweet from the US Senator for Florida, Marco Rubio. A sicker and more hypocritical thug, it is hard to imagine.
I have a piece being published by Renegade called “The continued weaponisation of ‘identity’” - Debunking the recent 'propaganda attacks' on Jeremy Corbyn and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. I’ll post the link when it’s up.

Postscript at 00.53 Monday: The following piece has just been published by Caitlin Johnstone, following Rubio’s tweet. It just about sums up my thoughts and feelings on the issue. It’s raw and it’s emotive…appropriately so. Please read it.
Finally, my message to Theresa May and Jeremy Hunt. I expect no reply, but that is not the point. The point is to use whatever medium is available to add another ripple to a wave of dissent…for yet another egregious attack on a sovereign state. One that just so happens to have the largest oil reserves on the planet. Enough.
