It’s not freedom vs tyranny, or democracy vs autocracy
It’s not east vs west, north vs south or black vs white
It’s old fashioned ‘good’ vs ‘evil’
In psychological terms…it’s psychopaths vs humanity
A psychopathic personality has no sense of empathy, remorse or conscience. They are egocentric, deceptive and ruthless. You cannot reason with a psychopath - reasoning is just a game. You cannot appeal to a sense of morality - they don’t have one.
They have an advantage. Psychopaths recognise empathetic human beings – you’re as obvious to them as prey to a predator. But you do not see them coming until it’s too late. They have an ability to conceal their true intentions behind seemingly positive motives. Your empathy; your unwillingness to believe that another human being can be THAT cold, calculating and ruthless…works against you. A psychopath can, is, and will be, that cold.
They don’t change.
