When people read an article like my last one, ‘The Quickening’, it is not surprising that some are shocked by the bleakness of the picture I paint. This could be explained by dismissing that picture as the ramblings of a deranged ‘conspiracy theorist’, or at least the bias of a chap firmly in the ‘glass half empty’ camp. Whilst there is some truth in the latter, there is another possible explanation for the fact some are shocked:
Much of the stuff I write about is not covered by the mainstream media
The events that are covered by the MSM, are seen through a very different lens - that of ‘the establishment’
Very little attempt is made by the MSM to ‘join the dots’
In short, most of the ‘analysts’ paraded before us are little more than ‘mouthpieces’. Whilst it may sound like a truism, what I write about is not shocking to me…it is a daily reality born of something quite simple - paying attention.
This week has been full of opportunities to pay attention, hence the title of this piece, ‘The bullshit never sleeps’. Here are just a few of the things that I believe you should be aware of, along with my comments, originally shared on my daily soapbox - Twitter:
1. Human Rights:
The United States has announced that it will not recognise the International Criminal Court, and will cancel the visa of any ICC official who attempts to investigate the human rights abuses of the US or Israel:
Washington’s strategy with human rights, as with most things, is a classical Orwellian inversion of truth - to proclaim one thing, and do the exact opposite. On the same day that he was trashing the ICC, Mike Pompeo was also pleading US commitment to human rights:
2. Re-writing history - the war on Iraq:
I have written before about how George Bush has been given a thorough face-lift in the media, particularly since Trump came to power. The blood has been washed from his hands and he is now the warm cuddly face of Republicanism. This is not an isolated phenomena - when Washington is about to engage in another regime change operation, it must do all it can to re-write the history of its previous calamities. It must reassure its population that Iraq was a mistake, but that this time it is CERTAIN that intervention is the right thing. This of course, is bullshit - Bush knew Saddam didn’t have WMD, UN Inspectors told him so. Anyway, they’re at it again, softening us up for Venezuela. Here is a guy you may remember, Ari Fleischer, White House Press Secretary at the time of Iraq - a guy who stood in the Press Room week after week…asserting the need for war with absolute clarity…echoing the ‘with us or against us schtick’…I.E. lying through his teeth:
3. The continuing demonisation of Maduro:
Having failed miserably to convince the Venezuelan army to unseat Maduro, Washington has continued to isolate Venezuela through cutting it out of the financial system; issuing threats to any country and/or company who dares to trade with it. The chief bully & braggadocio is John Bolton, co-creator of the ‘Project for a New American Century’, a thoroughly nasty piece of work.
As a brief aside, you will notice that I communicate TO these guys - my comments appear on their feed…also that I am frequently less than polite. This is deliberate:
I am putting my opposition ‘on the record’
The fact that they probably don’t read their own feed does not concern me - a member of their staff will do so, and he or she will periodically provide them with feedback
Most importantly, however: I am a deliberate example of someone offering direct and uncensored criticism. For what it’s worth, I hope that more people catch on to this. Do you know why these sociopaths get away with the crap that they do? Because they can.
Anyway, back to the odious John Bolton:
4. Israel’s illegal occupation of the Syrian Golan Heights:
As predicted, President Trump has recognised Israel’s illegal occupation of the Golan Heights. The timing coincides with the Israeli general election campaign, and in that respect is an attempt to counter-balance the bad press Netanyahu is getting for the charges of fraud brought against him. But that’s the least of it - put simply, this is an international crime. Trump and Netanyahu are no better than Capone:
5. The Gilets Jaunes
Today, Saturday, marks the start of Acte XIX, it also marks the first occasion that Macron has deployed troops against his own people…and still the silence in the media is very loud. When I look at Emmanuel Macron, I don’t see a ‘President’, I see a guy groomed since he was a kid to be a tool for the European banking elite. As it happens he is the same age as our eldest child…
6. Summary:
These are symptoms of ‘the quickening’. Here it is again stated differently:
