It is tempting to think that the masses fall for this because we are rather ‘stupid’…or, if you prefer ‘lazy and apathetic’. Whatever adjective you use, the real problem is: we do not pay attention, and we allow others to think for us. This is manipulated by the vested interests that own and control the media - people who certainly DO pay attention.
